DotX Control Solutions has experience with applying model based control to various steel production processes, such as:

  • predesign of control system and basic engineering study for a cooling installation of Corus to allow increased production, save on pre-processed water and save energy

  • mathematical first principles model of a reheat furnace for Weweler BV (producer of automotive springs) and cost-benefit study of applying advanced furnace controller to the furnace

  • design and implementation of a high precision mould level feedback controller with automatic rejection of periodic mould level variations due to bulging

  • high performance gauge, shape, flatness and temperature control for hot strip finishing mills
