Bij PEPSICO wordt een extruder gebruikt om van ruwe grondstoffen Hamka’s chips te maken. Dit gebeurt door verschillende ingredienten te mixen in een extruder, waar het na verschillende verwarmings ‘zones’ geextrudeerd wordt tot een ‘Hamka’ vormpje. Na deze extrusie wordt het ‘Hamka’ vormpje gebakken, en in een zakje gestopt.
